Pet Hair & Smoke Removal in Anthem, AZ
Pet hair and smoke are slow, careful work. We give you the price when we arrive, before we start, and we are honest about what we can and cannot fix.
Why this is priced separately
Our package prices assume a normally used vehicle. Embedded pet hair, ground in sand and dirt, spills, smoke odor and biohazard cleanup take hours that a normal detail does not. So they carry an additional charge.
What we can promise is this. If we arrive and find the back seat is woven with dog hair, you get the number before we touch the vehicle and you decide from there. If you would rather we just do the standard detail and leave the hair, that is a real option and we will not push you.
Send photos when you book and we will usually get close to the number before we even arrive.
What to expect with pet hair
Loose hair on top of the carpet is easy. That is a vacuum and it is part of any detail. The job we charge for is hair that has worked its way into the carpet backing and the seat fabric, standing up in the weave, where a vacuum passes straight over it. Getting that out is slow mechanical work, section by section.
Short stiff hair is harder than long hair, which surprises people. A short haired dog that rides in the same spot every day can be worse than a retriever, because the hair is a similar length to the carpet pile and sits down in it rather than on it. Same with cats on cloth seats.
On older cloth seats that have carried a dog for years, we will get the vast majority out and you may still find the occasional hair for a week afterwards. We would rather tell you that now than have you feel let down. Leather and vinyl come up far better than cloth.
What to expect with smoke smell
Smoke odor is not sitting on one surface. It is in the headliner, the seat foam, the carpet backing and the soft trim all at once, which is why spraying something pleasant into the cabin does nothing after a day. Dealing with it means cleaning the surfaces that are holding it, and that is a long job on a car that has been smoked in daily for years.
We will tell you honestly before we start where we expect to land. A car that has been smoked in occasionally usually comes back to neutral. A car that has been smoked in every day for a decade usually improves a lot without getting all the way to new, because the foam inside the seats is holding odor we cannot reach without pulling the interior out. We would rather you hear that from us up front than pay and feel let down.
What we will not do is cover a smell up and call it solved, because that never lasts. If we do not think we can meaningfully improve it, we will say so rather than take the job.
Sand and desert dust count too
This is specific to living here. Ground in sand is the third job in this category and it is common in Anthem, especially for anyone running out toward New River, Desert Hills or the desert on weekends. Sand in a carpet behaves like grit in a hinge. It has to come out before anything else is worth doing, and it takes time.
Fine desert dust is a related problem. It gets past door seals, settles into the carpet backing and the seat stitching, and does not vacuum out because it is below the surface. Extraction is what moves it, and extraction is part of the Premium Detail.
What we recommend booking
For pet hair or odor work, book a Premium Detail rather than the $160 Interior Clean. Premium includes the deeper extraction, leather cleaning and conditioning and seat belt steaming that this work actually depends on. The recovery charge then sits on top of that, quoted before we start.
If you want the stain dealt with specifically rather than the whole interior, seat stain removal and ceiling stain removal are listed on our add ons page and can attach to any visit.

Pet Hair & Smoke Questions from Anthem Customers
How much does pet hair removal cost in Anthem?
In Anthem it depends on how much hair is worked in and what the seats are made of, so this is quoted rather than flat rate. What we can promise is when you get the number. We give it to you when we arrive at your address in Anthem, before we start, and you decide from there.
Why is pet hair an extra charge at all?
Our package prices assume a normally used vehicle, and hair worked into the fabric takes hours a normal interior does not. Pricing it separately keeps everyone else’s price honest, and it means you hear the number from us before any work starts.
Can you get all of the dog hair out?
Out of leather and vinyl, essentially yes. Out of older cloth seats and carpet that have carried a dog for years, we will get the vast majority and you may still find the odd hair for a week. Short stiff hair is harder than long hair because it sits down inside the carpet pile. We would rather set that expectation now than have you feel let down.
Can you actually get smoke smell out of a car?
Usually we improve it a lot, and sometimes we get it to neutral. A car smoked in occasionally normally comes back fully. A car smoked in daily for years will improve without getting all the way to new, because the seat foam holds odor we cannot reach without removing the interior. We tell you where we expect to land before you commit.
Do you use an ozone machine or a fogger?
We work by cleaning the surfaces that are actually holding the smell, because that is what lasts. Covering a smell up does not. If we do not think we can meaningfully improve your vehicle, we will tell you that rather than take the job.
I have sand through the whole car from the desert. Same thing?
Same category, yes. Ground in sand has to come out before anything else is worth doing and it takes real time, so it is quoted the same way, on arrival and before we start. It is one of the most common jobs we see in Anthem, particularly for anyone running out past New River and Desert Hills on weekends.
Which package should I book for this?
A Premium Detail, at $429 for a sedan or $499 for a truck or SUV. It includes the deeper extraction, leather cleaning and seat belt steaming this work depends on, and the recovery charge sits on top, quoted before we start. The $160 Interior Clean is not the right base for a hair or smell job. We book these in Anthem most weeks.
Can I send photos first?
Please do. Text a few photos of the seats and carpet to (623) 297-9793 and we will usually get close to the number before we arrive in Anthem, so there are no surprises on the day either way.
